Two recent discoveries about space that can really effect our FUTURE lives have now come into the knowledge of the public. The first discovery might be one that you know. You probably know that there is a GIANT red dot in the middle of Jupiter , but do you know that there is a chance of there being life INSIDE that dot? The next discovery may seem a little unreal but, it's all true. Astronomers have discovered a NEW Earth-like planet. It's named Kepler 22b ,and just like Earth, it circles another sun in another solar system. The planet Kepler 22b is also seems to be filled with Earth-like land and Earth-like water, which gives scientists the idea that there may be life on it. Too bad we may not be able to visit it in our lifetime because Kepler 22b is 70 million light years away. Do you believe that this is fact or fiction?
The remembrance day assembly was great. It was amazing because all the songs were outstanding and it take's a lot of courage to go up there and preform a song in front of the whole school. So basically we have this assembly every year to remember the soldiers that lost there lives during World War1 and World War2. So we should appreciate this and we should all participate in the ''Minute of Silence'' and I think that the Bulldogs did great this year. Keep up the good work Bulldogs!
On Thursday we had a emotional assembly. Many classes sang thoughtful songs and shared poems. The candle ceremony was meaningful, and it was about war and peace. We appreciate the effort that went into practicing and decorating the gym we hoped you enjoyed it as much as we did.
On Friday, December 2nd, there was a girls volleyball game against the teachers. It was fascinating to see the grade 6/7 girls cooperate and try their best to deafeat the mighty teachers.
On Thursday Nov. 3, the Grade 6/7 Girls Volleyball Team played a great game against Georges Vanier. They tied by winning two games and losing two games. Way to go, girls!
The next game will be on Tuesday, Nov. 8 at Chimney Hill.
